Discover the Harp: Competition

with Brak komentarzy
Making music is great fun. It is the passion that for more than twenty years has been giving me more moments of joy, excitement and delight than I could count.
However, without help from others there were also many moments when I thought I would have had to stop. To be honest, without help from others I could not even start!

And this is why I have decided to offer

to help a dedicated student make those first steps.

The prize includes:
  • 12 weekly individual harp lessons over the course of 3 months (6th March to 9th June)
  • use of a Camac Korrigan lever harp during the lessons
  • music theory taught alongside instrumental tuition
  • music books appropriate to your level and progress for the period of tuition
  • help with finding a suitable instrument to practise on during your scholarship
  • email contact with me, your teacher - I will answer all the questions you may have between the lessons to help you make the most of the scholarship.

What do I need to do to win the harp lessons?

Let the world hear about YOUR DREAM. Post in the comment section on the page of the event. I would like to know:

Why do you want to take the harp lessons and why do you feel that this is the right moment to start?

Where should I answer?

Answer the question in a comment with a tag #harplessons.

What is the deadline?

25th February (post your answer by midnight).

What forms are acceptable?

The answer can take all forms conveyable online - a standard Facebook post, a picture, a poem, a story, a song, a video, a blog post, a comic, a mem... you name it!

If your work has to be uploaded outside Facebook make sure that you provide the link in a comment.

What is the age limit?

There is no age limit and no previous musical experience is required. However if you are under 18 you will need to ask your parents to post the comment on your behalf.

How will I know if this is something for me?

On Sunday 26th February I will choose up to 3 people who will be invited to my studio for a free 30 minutes consultation lesson taking place in the following week. This will be an occasion for you to meet me, visit my studio, learn more about playing the harp, find out how our lessons may look like and what would be the best way for you to make most of them. It is also an opportunity for me to meet the prospective students and see who would benefit most from this scholarship.

When will I know if I have been selected?

On 1st of March we will find out the name of the winner!
